A few updates have been made to the site. Of greatest interest to most of you would be our newly launched YouTube channel (which you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/user/tarxienscouts). Also the calendar has been updated till December 2008. The exact details of some activities are still a little sketchy but they will be filled in as we get closer. |

As part of the Group's 20th Anniversary Celebrations, we shall be organising a Gang Show on the 3rd October 2008. A Gang Show is a theatrical show, put up by Scouts. Aside from being great fun to watch and take part in, they offer our members a great opportunity to try something different, improve their self-esteem, and develop new skills.
We have been busy practicing most summer, and as the date draws close, the hard work put in by the various sections, not to mention the helpers, is starting to show.

It's been a while since the site was last updated, but that doesn't mean we have been idle. Here is a brief update of the main troop activities that have been held over the past months.
- 9th May - Cobras Patrol Sleepover
- 16th May - Falcons Patrol Sleepover
- 18th May - Hawks Patrol Hike and Cookout
- 18th May - Panthers Patrol Bowling
- 7th June - Pasta Night
- 13th June - Overnight Expedition by some of the Troop Leaders and Rovers
- 27th June - Beach-side BBQ
- 18th - 20th July - LAN Weekend
- 4th - 6th August - Hawks Patrol Camp
- 10th - 20th August - Group Annual Summer Camp
Also, starting from the 30th June, our HQ Dar tal-Kejka started to be opened on Mondays and Wednesdays apart from the normal Friday meetings to accommodate extra instructions, patrol meetings, some voluntary service at HQ as well as some fun and games. Aside from this it also started to open on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Talent Show practice.
Finally, together with adult members from the other sections, leaders from the Troop, together with some of the older Scouts helped to organise a series of Treasure Hunts for various groups of Belgian Language Students.
The Troop Logbook should be updated with the entry for the Group Summer Camp shortly.
