Pack Section

The Pack embraces within it young boys and girls whose ages vary from nearly 7 years to nearly 11 years of age.

During our weekly meetings, which are held every Saturday from 10.00 am till 12.00 noon, at Dar tal-Kejka, Xintill Street, Tarxien, these young cubs follow a special Cub Scout Programme. This helps our cubs to develop qualities that they will carry throughout their lifetimes.

Here they meet in a safe and friendly environment, where they feel a sense of belonging and are involved in community service. They learn how to be responsible and how to be kind and considerate by showing concern for the well-being of others.

Co-operation, honesty, faith, perseverance, respect, courage; are all values that are weaved into fun and educational activities that we organise for our cubs. These activities help our cub scouts to grow into self-reliant, dependable and caring future citizens with a positive attitude towards life. Moreover these activities foster a sense of personal achievement by developing new interests and skills.

Cub scouting provides fun and exciting new things to do through a variety of challenging activities that help build fitness, character and good citizen traits.

Since we strongly believe in all this, besides our weekly meetings, we organize different activities that include hikes, cookouts, camps, treasure-hunts, Bar BQ’s, summer week-ends in Gozo, visits to archaeological sites and much more. Parents are also encouraged to attend certain activities. In fact a very recent activity was the Mother and Child Camp which we held at Mellieha HQ, last September.

So as you see, this is the ideal group that you should encourage your child to join. Come and talk to us. We are always ready to listen to you and help you. Our next intake of new cubs will be in January 2008. In the meantime, should you want any further information about our cubs scout section, do not hesitate to contact any leader of the cubs’ section. We look forward to hearing from you.
