The Tarxien Venture Unit is a section within the Tarxien Scout Group that embodies youths of 15 to 19 years of age. Our main aim is to provide an independent and crucial formation to young people and this is achieved by various training schemes that the Scout Association of Malta provides; and by a variety of activities and initiatives taken by the Tarxien Venture Unit itself.

In this particular section, an executive committee exists which is formed and elected by the ventures themselves. In other words the ventures have the power and go-ahead to organize interesting and adventurous activities all by themselves and take the benefits and satisfaction of the success. These activities can vary from hiking and expeditions to canoeing and survival camping to name only a few. A leader and an assistant are always present during weekly meetings and activities to supervise and coordinate logistics.

The progressive training scheme for Venture Scouts instils in the members a set of character traits and leadership skills which will be useful when the time comes to take their place in society as young men and women of standing and worth.
